Background information by figurative and realistic paintings.

The still life has always been a very close theme of me. At the Art Academy I always painted still lives to practice the oil techniques and it's a theme you don't have to think so much about contents. Later the content became more important but the still life gives a lot of freedom how to paint it. It can be very realistic, but also very abstract and you don't have te paint it as precise as it stands before you.
Lately I also paint more simple forms like houses to occupy myself with composition and color fields. The house is also a metaphore for the individual as a still life also can be a metaphore for persons or situations.
